Selecting a public school district and specific schools is a critical decision for many home buyers. In the Cherry Creek School District principals are given considerable autonomy to lead their schools. We recommend that parents visit schools of interest. National rating systems are certainly useful but often do not accurately reflect the culture and unique attributes of a school. The Tom Gross Team will be happy to assist you in scheduling school visits or to arrange an appointment for a parent to meet with a district representative. A district level meeting is particularly useful in evaluating special needs situations.
The Cherry Creek Schools offers a broad variety of programs including college level AP courses in all high schools, the International Baccalaureate curriculum at Cherokee Trail and Smoky Hill High Schools , and career and technical education including an automotive program and Smoky Hill High School, aviation, computer science, photography, fashion, hospitality, and more!
The district is home to over 54,000 students and serves over 300,000 residents in 108 square miles that spread across eight municipalities: Cherry Hills Village, Centennial, Foxfield, Glendale, Greenwood Village and portions of Aurora, Englewood and Denver.
